Hii :)
"Be yourself; everyone else is already taken" - Oscar Wilde
Hello, it's me ;)
I wanted to write another quote post today as these are my favourite ones to write and I stumbled across this quote that I love.
I'm so sorry I haven't posted in about two month but I've honestly just been so so busy I have not had the chance but I'm back now :)
Nowadays with the media playing a large proportion in our every day lives we begin to generate this 'ideal' person and we almost feel obliged to follow the same things and routines that they do but honestly that's wrong.
The quote that I chose is one of my favourites as it displays a common issue which I think about frequently especially on social media etc. It's very hard to put my thoughts into actual text but my main message is that there is no 'normal' or 'ideal' person and everyone is naturally individual despite trying to change to fit a famous figure etc.
As the quote says 'everyone else is already taken,' you can't be an exact carbon copy of someone else personality wise naturally. Don't be afraid to let people see who you really are as trying to copy someone else will actually leave you nowhere. Think about the fashion industry for example, if a company was set up and sold things exactly the same or similar to topshops item the chances are they won't be as successful as people will recognise it to be similar. Whereas if they created they're own designs and items the chances are more people will find out and buy it. The same goes for you in your lives.
Don't be scared to show who you really are, yes you might be different to everyone surrounding you and in the end it's better to stand out than follow the crowd. And as they say "An original is always worth more than a copy."
