Real Techniques Brush Review | Starter Set
Hii :)
So I got the real techniques starter set aka the purple collection a year or so ago and I absolutely love them so today I am going to talk about them as they are my favourites. :)
Base Shadow Brush
So this brush is absolutely amazing however I don't use it for what it is meant for in fact I use it as a crease brush as for me it is the perfect size to do that job well. It applies the colour so well and it is also super soft too. It's perfect for working up bold colours into your crease which is what I love to do especially with dark browns and greys etc.
Deluxe Crease Brush
Now as you can see this brush is massive and would end up getting my shadow everywhere if I used it in my crease so instead I mainly use it for highlights on my brow bone or even patting in concealer as it is quite sturdy compared to the other brushes. This brush is also very useful at applying highlights to your cheekbones too so overall it is very multi purpose which is why I love it.
In a similar way to the deluxe crease brush this brush to me have many purposes whether it be for applying eyeliner, adding darker colours to my outer corner or smudging it works amazingly. As it is very small and the hairs are all compact it makes it extremely easy to use when adding precise details to your eye makeup ensuring no mistakes.
Fine Liner Brush
You can probably sense a theme here and that is that I don't use the brushes for what there made for so why make this one the exception you might think? Well that is because it is perfect for what it is supposed to do. It makes it exceptionally easy to apply gel or powdered shadow as eyeliner and creates that thin line you need. However it is also amazing as a lip liner so you can line your lips with your lipstick and this brush first to again guarantee no mistakes or getting your lipstick on your face, which you don't want!
Brow Brush
Now I use this brush for one thing only just like the name, brows. It's just a perfect shape to fill in your brows considering I use eyeshadow. The bristles are very flexible and soft so they glide the product on smoothly and evenly so you can achieve a perfect even brow colour just how you want it :) {that really sounded like a TV ad there :/}
So that is all the real techniques brushes in the starter set and as a matter of fact the only real techniques brushes I own but I have used my friends ones and they are amazing so I am definitely going to have to make a purchase, especially with the bold metals collection they look amazing and gorgeous! I really want to do another review like this but with my MAC ones so let me know if you liked this one!
See you soon
