An Ideal Society?

Back in July I wrote a speech for public speaking in English. I wrote it on 'An Ideal Society' and today I wanted to share it with you.

{An Ideal Society}

The world is a complicated place and the society we live in today makes it difficult to live and act in the way we want. If you had the opportunity would you want to create a whole new society from scratch? Would you scrap all racism, classicism and sexism and build a whole new society which encourages and guarantees equal rights for each and every individual.

Even from the very beginning there has always been a class above the rest, a group of people who declared themselves more powerful than others and if you weren't a part of that 'group' you were instantly discriminated against just for not being the same.

An ideal society would contain no class system, no discrimination but stability. There would be no crime or war, no rich or poor.

Everyone would be equal and not judged for little things that they can't change. Everyone has a different approach to what an ideal society should look like or be it's all down to personal preference but somethings within our society today should be changed without a doubt.

In my eyes an ideal society should include equality especially in the way we treat people. It is questionable whether people who have done amazing things should be ranked higher in society because of their achievements. What do you think?

Peace is another huge change an ideal society should contain. This could be a massive issue considering the world today where war, violence, jealousy, hatred and greed play main parts in peoples lives. Freedom. It's something that she be a given, a right, something that's not worth questioning but that's not the case worldwide.

An ideal society would contain freedom for all just as they deserve it. But for freedom for all, governments couldn't exist. Even with ruling governments today disagreements still occur so without one it would be a whole lot worse. The world is not ready for a state of no governance. Governments must still stand in place for a peaceful and calm society but this means freedom cannot.

It's impossible to achieve a 'perfect society' no matter how much we want it but we can try all we want to create the best society we can considering the obstacles and parts we may not like standing in our way. Think. Would you rather have a world with kindness or hatred? A world of injustice or equality? A world of peace of violence? What is your ideal society?
