Every Cloud Has A Silver Lining❤
Hii :)
"Every cloud has a silver lining." - John Milton
This is my favourite quote in the whole world purely just because I can and I'm sure you can relate to it so well too.
Whenever I feel sad or something is going on that's not so great I always think about this quote. It may just seem like I'm saying that for the post but honestly I really do think about this quote on a day to day basis. At the end of each day I tend to think about this quote. What bad things have happened today? Was there any good within my day? Is there something to be optimistic about in the near future?
Think. What do you think the quote means? There is so many different interpretations of it. In my eyes it means that even though there's cloud there is still a silver lining, a good part about it. So in real life this could mean even though there's something not so good going on there will always be a good part within it, something to look forward to or be happy about. It's a similar idea to the quote "There's always light at the end of the tunnel."
It can be hard to always see some good within bad situations but try it. See a positive outlook on situations rather than a pessimistic one. If you try and do this it can help you think more positively overall and not waste time wallowing over the dull parts which you're dreading.
I'll give an example. I hate public speaking even if it's just in front of my English class. I don't like the idea of speaking to 30 people about something I wrote without the whole script with just cue cards and myself, with everyones eyes on me. But I did it. Why? I had something to look forward too. My birthday was two days after and I knew once I overcame that hurdle I was going to be happy and excited.
That was quite a basic example because it's your birthday. I'll give another. I was dreading getting my braces on in June. I hate when my teethache so I was dreading the aftermath but you know what made me forget about it? I was going to 5SOS that weekend. I had something super exciting to look forward too.
Surround yourself with exciting new experiences and events too look forward to and maybe just maybe every cloud will have a silver lining :)
